Since 1975 POTENCIA has been manufacturing the Hummingbird small wind generating systems. The Hummingbird can be used as a battery bank charger for remote applications or as a grid tied unit, for applications where utility lines are nearby. It uses a direct driven, permanent magnet generator, which provides better efficiency and minimizes maintenance needs.

Currently POTENCIA manufactures 5 and 10kW versions of the Hummingbird.
